Updating the ‘Contact us’ box.

So, many of you have been using the ‘contact us’ field of the website as a means of entering the raffle contests, which is totally okay but on the whole, a little confusing and not very organised (that’s our fault, don’t worry).

As a means of correcting this, I spent a little bit of my day creating a better way of entering the raffles. I plan to discuss with Ira whether the ‘Contact us’ section will remain in place and we have a separate page for the application form but for now I just templated up what the new form is going to look like.

(Note: I may update this form several times in the next week or two so don’t get too attached).

Current form:

Updated template:

Just wanted to check with you guys about the kind of language that’s being used and how accessible this form will be overall. After all, it’s going to be you that is using it.

All feedback welcome in our current contact form.

Matt.

We’re raffling off a small Style 918 from Underworks AKA The Swim Tank! This is for folks whose chest sizes are 32-35 inches according to the Underworks’ sizing model.
Applications close at the end of the day on February 26th. You can apply by emailing us your name, size, and why you want the binder at transcirclebinders@gmail.com.
theCircle runs on the honor system, so only apply if you need a binder. We do not discriminate based on identity, presentation, or out status. We do not give out any information other than the first name provided so that we can remain transparent in how we give out binders. We keep the information to make sure we don’t give out a binder to the same person more than once in a short period of time. We accept applications, at this point in time, from anyone in North America. This is subject to change depending on shipping costs. We accept monetary donations and binder donations. For more information, contact us at transcirclebinders@gmail.com.
We wish you the best of luck.

Alright, folks! Thank you for your patience. We really appreciate. That being said, we’re going to give raffling off binders a shot. These raffles are free, so don’t let the language mislead you. These binders are donated to us by the generous and then mailed out to those in need (mostly in the US and sometimes in the UK since shipping internationally costs more than a new binder).

The Specs:

This is a used, custom binder. It’s similar to the Tri-Top from Underworks but is actually a modified 997. It’s an extra small binder, and it is reinforced. So, be careful folks.

Do not apply for this binder if you are unsure of your size. You can find out your size at underworks.com/ftm

How to Apply:

Email us at transcirclebinders@gmail.com and tell us your name, location, and why you need a binder. We’ll be keeping this information only to make sure that folks don’t constantly reapply and that we can give everyone as fair a shot as possible.

How do we know you need it?

Right now, we’re going by the honor system. As someone who has received welfare, it was nearly impossible for me to provide all of the legal information needed. We want to help you, not make it more difficult.

What’s going down?

Submissions are due by Thursday, January 26th. On Tuesday, January 31st at noon (Arizona time), I’ll be pulling a name out of a hat in a video chatroom that everyone is welcome to (more info on this later). First name only just to be transparent while protecting that person’s identity. That way, everyone sees how and when it’s done. I’ll also contact you via email in order to get where to ship the binder to.

Any questions, comments, concerns? Would you like to donate a used binder? Contact us at transcirclebinders@gmail.com.

Coming Back From Hiatus: Binder Contest

We are giving away a never-been-worn style 988 Underworks binder (size: small, color: white). It’s basically a tank top with a Tri-Top on the inside.

How to enter:

Send an image that you’ve made to transcirclebinders@gmail.com. The theme is, of course, binding, and Ricky and I will be judging the sentiment, not necessarily the quality. If you don’t have a fancy camera, don’t worry.

Deadline:

September 13, 2011. Judging will take two weeks and the winner be notified September 27th.

Questions and Submissions:

Please contact Ira at ira.d.gray@gmail.com for any questions or concerns you may have or to submit your binding themed image.

Hey, everyone, check out this free binder contest.

NOTE: I forgot to put this here, but I did put this on my Facebook page. I apologize for neglecting to put this warning here until way after posting it. I do not know the ethnic identities of the people in this video. That being said, it comes of as potentially super racist. I don’t think that rap is something exclusively for people of color as a person of color myself. However, mocking rap and hiphop culture is often a tool of racism. If you need a binder, this may be worth it for you. It may also not be, but I am posting it since free binders are a rarity.

We need a volunteer web developer.

We can and will promote you on this space if you’d like, and your work will most certainly be credited. We’re looking for an easier to navigate space that is gender neutral. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please, if you would like to help us out, email me at ira.d.gray@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time,

Ira Gray

P.S. Feel free to signal boost this!
