Congratulations to Zachary! You won the binder.

I will be emailing you asking you for your address today. As soon as I receive that, expect your binder within the next week. It will arrive in a red, white, and blue US priority mail envelope from “Ira Gray - theCircle”.

Applications for the next raffle are now welcome. We are raffling off a small style 918 from Underworks, also known as the Swim Tank. Do not apply if you have not double checked your size on the Underworks website. Sizes for binders vary per style. You need to know your number size in order to know for sure if this binder will fit you. You can apply by emailing us at transcirclebinders@gmail.com. Applications will close on February 26th!

Anonymous asked: I have read quite a few different things that stated you had a binder give away and no one applied. I would love it if you did it again. I have been researching all different things and it took me 2 years before I found this site. I would love to have a chance to enter. I dont have any money. Thats why Im looking for help for the transition. All I want is the HRT and Top surgery. I dont trust the bottom surgery. Id be fine with a STP device. If you can help me out Id really appreciate it. -Maxx

We have had another one open that closed on Thursday. We’ll be doing them once a month from now on. We give out used binders, so you can only apply when one your size comes up. You can find out your size on the website of the brand of binder we are giving out. So, keep checking in, and I wish you the best of luck.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

I’ve been really busy with my surgery coming up in about 2 weeks, so I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to respond to all of the emails quite yet. I assure you I received and read them. I’ll try and get back to everyone Friday (tomorrow but technically today now).

I’m going to try and do an open video chat session so that anyone who wants to see the raffle live can do so (depending on access to resources). I don’t have access to a good mic, and my computer freezes a lot. So, if it doesn’t work out (I’m going to do a test run sometime before), I’ll just record it on my phone and upload it to YouTube from there. I have no way of editing videos, so everything will be as is.

In the raffle, only the first name on the application will be announced. I’ll email you immediately after for you address, so I can get the binder mailed out to you ASAP.

Note: There are a few applicants who don’t know their sizes. I will get back to you tomorrow about that, but in the future, you must know and provide your accurate size (mine is a size 29 for example) in order to have your application accepted. I don’t get very many donations, and I’m poor. I can afford to mail out binders to people who end up not being able to use them due to them being the wrong size. That’s not fair to the people who could be using them instead. So, please, find out your size (all of the binders donated so far are from Underworks except one from T-Kingdom) on the Underworks or T-Kingdom sites. S/M/L/XL/XXL does not mean the same thing for every binder even if two different binders are from the same brand. Sizing in terms of S/M/L/etc. is specific to each style of binder!

I wish the applicants good luck in the raffle, and I thank those who keep this project going.

- Ira Gray

Anonymous asked: is there any way i can get a cheep chest binder

We’re doing a raffle right now for an extra small binder. Details are on our page. Underworks has the cheapest binders I know of. There are also online garage sales on LiveJournal and trans* specific forums.

Anonymous asked: Hi! About the raffle binder, what does it mean that it's reinforced? Also, do you ship to places outside the US in North America?

The binder is essentially a 997 folded up and sewn to stay that way. It fits like a Tri-top.

I’ve never shipped anything to outside of the US but still in North America. I’m willing to give it a shot this time and see how it goes. It may change in the future though.

Alright, folks! Thank you for your patience. We really appreciate. That being said, we’re going to give raffling off binders a shot. These raffles are free, so don’t let the language mislead you. These binders are donated to us by the generous and then mailed out to those in need (mostly in the US and sometimes in the UK since shipping internationally costs more than a new binder).

The Specs:

This is a used, custom binder. It’s similar to the Tri-Top from Underworks but is actually a modified 997. It’s an extra small binder, and it is reinforced. So, be careful folks.

Do not apply for this binder if you are unsure of your size. You can find out your size at underworks.com/ftm

How to Apply:

Email us at transcirclebinders@gmail.com and tell us your name, location, and why you need a binder. We’ll be keeping this information only to make sure that folks don’t constantly reapply and that we can give everyone as fair a shot as possible.

How do we know you need it?

Right now, we’re going by the honor system. As someone who has received welfare, it was nearly impossible for me to provide all of the legal information needed. We want to help you, not make it more difficult.

What’s going down?

Submissions are due by Thursday, January 26th. On Tuesday, January 31st at noon (Arizona time), I’ll be pulling a name out of a hat in a video chatroom that everyone is welcome to (more info on this later). First name only just to be transparent while protecting that person’s identity. That way, everyone sees how and when it’s done. I’ll also contact you via email in order to get where to ship the binder to.

Any questions, comments, concerns? Would you like to donate a used binder? Contact us at transcirclebinders@gmail.com.
